Injury to Teats
Injury to teats can have many causes. A cow stepping on her own teat while getting up is a common cause of injury. Cows should have access to freestalls that are of suitable size and have appropriate bedding or cushion. It is important that the teats do not come in contact with abrasive surfaces such as bare concrete.
